Jack Simon, LCSW
My ideal clients are those looking for confidence around identity- be it individual, interpersonal, spiritual, gender related, professional, or any other category in which we use to define ourselves. I take an approach that an individual's truth is a highly subjective and constantly evolving concept.
I believe all human beings essentially want three things: to feel safe, to experience love, and to feel like their life has a sense of purpose. It's worth noting that the way in which an individual defines those three things are completely unique to them and may be wildly different from the world around him- and that's a great thing.

This idea serves as the catalyst for my therapeutic philosophy which prioritizes individual integrity as the source of satisfaction. In any care setting, I have always prided myself on utilizing a direct and compassionate client centered approach that incorporates humor as an intentional tool whenever possible.

Outside of being a therapist, I am a proud husband and father to three young children. When I am not doing my best to keep up with them, I can be found playing guitar or drums, spending too much time watching food TV, or taking any excuse I can get to sit around a campfire.

Experience and Qualifications
My skills as a therapist come from a combination of formal education and trainings as well as a diverse lived experience and tremendous curiosity and awe towards the human experience.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I wore many professional hats including but not limited to journalist, copywriter, cook, children's entertainer, radio dj, camp director, sound engineer, chauffeur, teacher, bartender, and a very brief stint selling pools and sheds at the state fair. I have been fortunate to live and work in multiple states and countries and revel in any opportunity for growth. My diverse personal professional background grants me a unique perspective as a therapist, emphasizing an appreciation for the diversity and beauty of the human experience.
